I love making family friendly healthy food. It's hard to make everyone happy, so when I find a recipe that does just that, I want to share it with the world! Here's a few of my go-to, not-so-complicated meals.

Turkey Meatballs

1lb ground turkey

1 egg

1/2 sweet onion

1 garlic clove

1 tsp pink Himalayan sea salt

1 tbsp black pepper

1/4 cup almond flour

2 tbsp of coconut oil for cooking

Preheat over to 400 degrees

Thoroughly mix everything together (not coconut oil). I use my hands. Start forming meatballs about the size of a golf ball. They can be smaller if you like. Put coconut oil into a frying pan over med-high heat and begin to brown meatballs. Brown all over.

Transfer to a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 10-15 minutes or until internal temp reaches 160 degrees. Allow meatballs to rest 5 minutes after removing from the oven.

Add to your favorite low sugar red sauce and add fresh basil garnish.
